Balik Kampung - Part 3; food brings memories

Hi folks! Do you missed the food you used to eat since childhood? When I was pregnant with KY, I craves for food I used to eat when I was young. DH is even willing to drive me back from KL to BP(Johor) just to fulfil my craving(nope I didn't let him do so but managed to find a similar ones in KL instead). So during my balik kampung trip, before the wedding luncheon, we got up quite early for food hunting(look at the listless kids..:P who was dragged out of home early in the morning as well). My siblings went eating few stalls, tasted up to 8 dishes for breakfast. As for me, the first stall I went is this uncle who my dad used to pack lunch to school or me whenever I have sports practice after school. Here's his signature fried white raddish cake. Yummy..,,

Balik Kampung- Part 2 Feasting

Hi folks! We managed to visit our grandma during our balik kampung trip. Grandma treated us with fresh coconut and durian from her orchard. Lastly a picture with grandma and my sis at the weddin luncheon of our cousin..till we meet again grandma! May you stay healthy and strong..

Back to hometown- Part 1 Food

Hi folks! First night of our balik kampung trip, we went food hunting. This is one of our favorite vegetarian restaurant which has moved and expanded. The new place can easily hold wedding banquet up to 60 tables I think..lovely place, good service and not to mention affordable food! We ordered salad, satay, fried rice, French fries, Vegetarian oyster, their signature spinach tofu and nice juice and drinks(only $2 per glass compared to KL $4-8)..mind u all the food are in "S" size but looks like "L" size in KL. very satisfied..totaled bill-$85..yummy..DH gives thumbs up to the satay! Will certainly visit this restaurant again in our next trip home!

In-Health and Beaute Expo 2012

Hi folks! Saw this leaflet about the upcoming expo at Mines Exhibition Centre, 29 June-1 July 2012, 11am-9pm. Admission is Free. If you are available and around that area do check it out! There are free health check and etc(T&C apply). I like to check out some organic products there and bring my parents for health check :)

A Pot of Love for a secondtime mom

Hi folks! Today I went to visit my buddy who has just delivered her second child. Being the second child, she would be having most of the things she needs..so I made her a pot of nourishing drink during confinement to replenish qi & blood. I also got her some foodstuff which she needs but hard to go out to get them(not all hubby knows where/willing to drive out to scout)..hopefully those items would last her till she regains energy to travel out ;) congrats once again Charl, my dear buddy, welcome to the juggling world being mom of two kids ..I am sure u'll do an awesome job! Cheers!
